Overview
ProductLine Import loads product line records into NeuronCx in bulk from a Google Sheet. It’s a legacy import type that uses a fixed two-column format —Id and Value — and writes directly against the records already set up for your institution in the InstitutionProductLine table.
Use this import when you need to populate or refresh product line values in bulk, without touching any other entity type.
This is a legacy import type. It supports the
Id | Value format only and does not support attribute columns. If you need to import entity records with additional attribute data, use Trx Attribute Entity Import (Type 11) instead.Prerequisites
- Your Google Sheet must be shared with edit access so NeuronCx can read from it.
- The sheet must contain exactly two columns:
IdandValue. - The
Idvalues in your sheet must match existing records in theInstitutionProductLinetable for your institution. This import does not create new product line definitions — it only writes values against ones already set up.
Preparing Your Sheet
Your sheet must follow this exact format. NeuronCx will reject or skip rows that don’t conform.
Running the Import
Setting up a new import
1
Open Imports
Navigate to Home > Ontology > Attribute Settings & Bulk Edit, then click the Imports tab.

2
Click + Import
Click the + Import button in the top right to open the New Import modal.

3
Give it a label
Enter a name that describes this import — for example, “Product Line Bulk Import.”

4
Add the Google Sheet ID
Paste the sheet ID or the full Google Sheets URL — NeuronCx will extract the ID automatically.

5
Verify
Click Verify. NeuronCx confirms it can read the sheet and shows you the row and column count — use this to catch an empty or wrong sheet before continuing.

6
Select the import type
In the Import type panel on the left, select Legacy. Then choose ProductLine (
#2) from the list on the right.
7
Create the import
Click Create import. The import now appears in your list under the Legacy category, ready to run.

Running the import
1
Find the import
From the Data Import list, locate the import you just created. You can filter by the Legacy tag to narrow the list.
2
Click Import
Click the arrow icon on the import row to open it, then click Import to run it.

Checking the Result
Once the run completes, the history table shows how many rows were read and how many records were updated. Click a run’s Status to open a detailed breakdown showing which rows succeeded, failed, or were skipped. Re-running the same sheet is safe — it will re-apply values without creating duplicates.Limits to Keep in Mind
- This import supports the
Id | Valueformat only. No additional columns are read or imported. - The
Idin each row must match an existing record inInstitutionProductLinefor your institution — rows with unrecognised IDs are skipped. - This import does not create new product line definitions. All IDs must be set up in the platform before running the import.
- Only one import runs at a time. If another import is already running, this one will queue and wait its turn.
